There was a time when SEGA bet everything to defeat Nintendo’s Game Boy, and they did it with the Game Gear. A portable console with a backlit screen and 16-bit graphics that was crazy for the 90s. Let’s remember that the Sega Game Gear was launched on the market in 1990 and although it had some success, it could not compete against the Game Boy , especially due to the high battery consumption and its larger size that made it less portable.
